Since its launch in 2002, PowerSearch has become the starting point for millions of researchers at more than 70,000 locations

With this impressive use, Gale gathered significant feedback from users and librarians.  The following changes have been based on the response from our end users and wil be available to customers in August.

Some of the new features you can expect include:-
  • A new Homepage that allows users to browse key content, customisable by the library or the user
  • Users can create their own accounts and manage marked items, alerts, preferences
  • Results lists that bring multimedia to the forefront
  • Enhanced Publication browsing, with cover images for periodicals and eBooks
  • An enhanced Subject Guide, with the ability to filter subject terms by numerous facets
The release will not be automatic, migration to the new platform will only take place at your request, starting early this autumn.  Products Affected:- Any product currently on the PowerSearch platform, including:

  • Gale Virtual Reference Library
  • Literature Resource Center
  • MLA
  • Litfinder
