Enhanced search functionality on InfoTrac
When introduced,
Gale PowerSearch, the
InfoTrac user interface, offered the unprecedented ability to search millions of entries across multiple online resources with just one query. Since then, we've gathered feedback from
Gale PowerSearch users like you. Now, based on that input, Gale is adding new search features — including Search Assist, search filters, additional limiters and enhanced relevancy.
Features include:
- Greater discoverability through content type limiters - no more tabs
- Sophisticated Search Assist with Did You Mean? functionality
- Trending topics, suggested phrases and publication recommendations
- New sidebar with recommendations and limiters for every search
- Additional interface language translation options (Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese)
- Read Speaker will read non-English documents
- Translation of foreign language documents to English
- More intuitive advanced searching with search assist on the most used indexes
- And more!
Search Assist: To save users even more time and provide web search-functionality similar to Yahoo and Google, all InfoTrac products will have a learning, intuitive search assist feature allowing users to find the exact subject, keyword or publication they're looking for.

Enhanced Results Lists: The newly enhanced results list will include improved relevancy rankings and easier access to filters and limiters.

Language Customisability: The user interface will now support three additional languages; Chinese, Japanese and Korean.

Continually Expanding Content: More than 1,500 new titles were added to our periodical products last year. These titles include more than 1.6 million articles!
Enhanced Subject and Publication Search: New features and limiters will be added on our publication and subject search pages, along with Search Assist.
